The Perfect Prayer For Healing.
Almost daily I read of someone who is requesting prayer for healing. Many Christians actually believe God is glorified in their testimony as they take on the challenge of acceptance. God is not glorified in sickness. To accept a lie is to accept defeat. It is written in Revelation 12: 9: “the devil deceives the whole world.” God’s word is specific and clear when it comes to what is available to the church today. What can you do when it comes to healing?
It is written In 1 Kings 18:1 “And it came to pass after many days, that the word of the LORD came to Elijah in the third year, saying, Go, show thyself unto Ahab; and I will send rain upon the earth. “
At the time this was revealed by God, it became truth in the realm of the Spirit. From there Elijah followed through with what had been instructed to him by God. Elijah then went to the mountain with his servant and he came to a place where he instructed him to go to the top and bring him back news of what he saw. What his servant would see was a reality in the senses realm but as is evidenced here, many times it will contradict God’s word.
1 Kings 18:41-43 “And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain. So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees, and said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, there is nothing. And he said; go again seven times.
Elijah believed the revelation from God but his servant kept coming back reporting there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. The servant was relying on senses information that is factual but Elijah kept casting himself down putting his head between his knees. This was an orientalism symbolizing the birth process. In those days, a woman who was about to deliver her child would facilitate the process by stooping and putting her head between her knees until the baby “DROPPED.” she would push until that which was in her would come into the world.
Elijah believed what God had told him. He was birthing that which was truth in the Spiritual into the natural. As he stooped he continued to confess that which God had said. “The rain is coming. I hear the sound of abundance of rain.”
The servant kept speaking what he SAW while Elijah confessed what God had said. Finally after 7 trips to the top of the mountain, the servant reported a small cloud in the distance.
1 Kings 18:44-46 “And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man’s hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get thee down that the rain stop thee not. And it came to pass in the mean while, that the heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel. And the hand of the LORD was on Elijah; and he girded up his loins, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.”
So it is with us today.
It is written in 1 Peter 2:24 “who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”
All evidence to the contrary in the realm of the senses will contradict the truth of God’s word.
Keep confessing the truth. You were healed. It’s a reality in the realm of the spiritual. You can birth it into the natural by continuing to confess the truth.
The believers in Israel continued to fall back to the law and the old testament when it came to healing as evidenced by James 5: 14: “Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.”
The book of James was written to Israel and those who were the followers of James, Peter and John, who preached the Gospel of the circumcision. It is not written to the body of Christ.
Religious tradition does not negate the truth of the written word.
We do not need to pray for healing. It is ours already. This is a hard thing for Christians to accept but the Word of God IS the will of God.
We can still pray for one another but when I pray with my understanding, it’s always something like this: “Father I thank you that your people will rise up to believe thy word. For it is written that by the stripes born by your son, we were healed.”
This is the truth right now. All we need to do is believe and confess it no matter what we see or hear by our senses.
The perfect prayer for healing is to simply pray in the spirit for it is written in Romans 8:11 “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”
